Finished Prom shopping!

Went to the usual hot spots for teenagers: Orchard Road, Ion, 313 Somerset and others.

Day 1:

I went with Joey, whom was acting as my image consultant.  Tried on clothing (which I had secretly taken of :p),

.
.
.
Failed.

And I've got the chance to see Joey in high heels! :D

She was taller than me by a few cm! Cool eh.

Day 2:

Went to Far East Plaza with my Mum. It's very much like Bugis Street, but it is air conditioned and there's more space between each shop. They're cheaper there too. Which is where I bought my outfit for Prom :D

Nice figure. Haha.

If you have it, you might as well flaunt it.

During my exams period, I was fantasising about what I would wear, about what my friends would wear and about the fun in shopping for my Prom.

In the actual act of searching for my outfit, I was hungry (but that was solved when we went to the food court) and my feet was tired, aching from wearing the ladies shoe. Finding and trying on clothing is slightly unnerving, especially when the salesperson is standing just in front of me, pushing all the brand's clothes at me.

But I have finally bought my outfit. :D After much waking up and down Far East Plaza.

I say, Far East Plaza and Bugis Street should be the main areas where someone my age should go. There are many different styles down there; there is the kawaii type, the layered type, the jagged type and the sophisticated type, to name a few. I'm definitely going there again to shop for new, casual clothes.

It's time to celebrate~~~

O Levels have ended!

I can't tell you how much I'm loving the free time I have now, to do my own hobbies and to shop for Prom :D

I'm not too confident about getting good results for my Os but ... as they say, What's over is over. Can't do nothing about it. I'm just hoping that I can go to my selected course in JC.

Anyway, we have been told the theme for Prom Night :

Le' Masquarade

I'm very excited to see what my friends are going to wear! I bet everyone is going to be very beautiful/handsome there ;)

That will probably be the last time I'll be seeing most of them; some none at all. After this , they most likely won't meet up with me, go do things that teenagers would do with their friends . . . *sigh*

But it was fun while it lasted.

A memory imprinted into my brain. :)

Some of the wonderful friends I've met:

And the fantastic teachers that taught me

And many more, but the photos take too long to upload. ...

No matter, as long as I know that, that's that. :)

The farewell of 4E2 and YISS

I have officially graduated from YISS. 4 years in this school. The first two weren't really memorial but the last two ... it was fabulous.

And so, I will write down my thoughts about this 4 years :).

Secondary 1

I still remembered the first day of school. I woke up around 5 something, took my time to get ready, all perfectly dressed (like a nerd) and my father drove me to school. There was a bench near the GO which I sat on. A secondary 4/5 girl sat next to me. "Hello," I said. She nodded. Then she looked away. That was very awkward. I had to wait for quite a long time (arrived too early). I had been worried and uneasy that I won't fit in.

I joined Art Club and Life Science Society. Both timings didn't clash at that time.

I wasn't very outspoken then. I was more interested in reading books. Everyday bringing in a new book :D

Didn't have much friends at that time. But I remembered you, Elizabeth, who once followed me to find a table during recess time :) Seemed to me that I was like a mother duck [laughs].

Secondary 2

Secondary 2 and 1 were almost similar. I stayed at home, read books, didn't socialise with my classmates; they didn't really talk to me, so who cares. I had some people in my class that I didn't like. Stared at me so I stared back. Therefore resulting in me not liking them.

The last term, when I had to choose my subject for Sec 3, was the turning point in my life. I previously ticked the choice of Combined Sciences (it seemed easier and I didn't want to stress myself) but thanks to Ms Lin who convinced me to take up Pure Sciences, based on my results, I entered 3E2.

Secondary 3

My classmates changed. Now, there were new faces to be recognised and names to be remembered.

Being a part of this class changed me. For the better of course. I had become more interactive and talkative, especially during the last few weeks when we would see ourselves being promoted to Sec 4.

We had changed our teachers too. From Mdm Junainah to the resilient Mrs Goh , from Ms Poorany to Mrs Barnwell and many others.
The one clear thing that I remembered about E maths lessons was the person who sat beside me: Samuel. He was a very interesting character, even more so when became a Sec 4. Saying jokes about my 'smartness' [laughs]

The other person was Jason, who was my seatmate in A maths. Teaching me the formulas and questions when I didn't understand when the teacher taught. Thanks a lot Jason!

I also had an unexpected meeting with a person from another class in Chinese lessons. Yes, Angeline. I'm talking about you :) Such a fun time, chatting with you while listening to my worse subject for me at that time: Chinese!

I also forced formed a bond with my classmates, the ones that I thought were so noisy in my CCA (but now I know better). My mouth started smiling after I got to know you girls. So, thank you for letting me in to your group :)

I had to quit Art Club because the timing clashed. It now happened on the same day and at the same time. Choosing between Art Club and Life Society was a decision that required some thought. But ultimately, I chose LSS. The reason being LSS has my classmates in it. And I was laughing even more. While at Art Club, I was more of a tutor to the lower secondary members and I didn't really want to throw away the only chance I had of having fun (not to say I wasn't having any fun doing arty things with you girls, but even more fun with my classmates because we would see each other very single day!) I didn't regret my decision. I didn't.
 Secondary 4

It was like Sec 3 but with even more hilarious and fun moments. I was even more talkative, even more expressive than the last 3 years added together.

On 15 April, I and the other members of LSS stepped down. It was time to focus on our 'O's.
I'm the one who spread her arms like a "spider web",
or so Joey commented ^^

And I performed with my class on stage for Teachers' Day.

Can you see me? :)

This year, I have made even more friends than before, laughed and joked about even more and even breaking some of the  (almost non-existent) school rules. [laughs]

Today's Graduation Day, 14 October 2010, was a very touching moment, and a very good opportunity to take lots and lots for photos, to leave behind memories.
I have realised that Edna Chew is no longer camera shy. It's the opposite in fact :D If you facebook-ed me, you'll be surprised by the number of photos this ex-introvert had taken with her friends.

The speeches made by our Form teachers have really shown how much they have cared for us; how they have nurtured us. We should not let them down; I should not let them down. Knowing how much they have done for me, I should and must preserver and get good results. I must perserver and get good results.

This year was a very unique and interesting year because we, the students of 4E2 are even more united than the last. Even more together than before. And even more crazy than ever.

Missing who

Thursday will never be the same again. Never seeing the rush to buy the food, the strategy planned by the students, the friendship displayed by them and the widening of the teachers' eyes when they realised it was Chicken / Fish & Chips Day and they have to let the students off earlier to allow them to gain an edge over the rest.

I will never be the same without 4E2. You have brought warmth into my life. You have provided me 'shade from the tropical hot sun' (find this phrase familiar? ;P). You have made me a better person, much better than before. So I thank you.

4E2,
You'll always remain in my memories.
Always.

17 September 2010

I would like to say

Thank you

to all you people out there who made my day today :)

Thanks to my family members, my friends, classmates and every one else.

You have made me feel really special today, with my FaceBook page full of birthday wishes. I say, I am much more popular this year than all the years combined before. Feels quite satisfying actually.

I'm 16 now.
I hope that I'll become much more mature in my thinking and somewhat more daring and childlike in other
aspects.

I'm 16 now.
And i wish these good times will last forever.

I'm 16 now.
And I hope this will be my last year in YI.

I'm 16 now.
And I want to pass O with flying colours.

I'm 16 now.
And I want to continue to have a tight knit of close friends.

I'm 16 now.
And I want my eczema to improve when i reach 17.

I'm 16 now.

And this is where I am at.

Teacher's Day Celebration (Part 2)

Then after the whole celebration, we were able to go back home. I went to my Primary School to see my ex-Form Teacher which i haven't seen in 3 years. I didn't expect so many secondary school students to be going back to LianHua.

We were all waiting outside of the school. Just like fans wanting to ctach a glimspe of their idols
Photobucket

And i saw my ex-classmates. Some changed. Some didn't.

Photobucket

One did. And i was so shocked when i saw him.

Photobucket

And I saw Ms Yong!! :D

I walked around the school  (no one stopped me!) and chanced upon a poster that had been take 5/6 years ago. So nostalgic!!

Walking back in time

Went for a ran/jog/walk nearby my home.

Then came near my primary school. 4 years already. ... You know, i used to grumble about why i can't take bus to my house (since at that time I "innocently" believed that taking a bus seems cool ... How wrong i was.)

Anyway, the walls have been painted again. (Pfew... It's been 4 years. Of course it'll be re-painted!)

The area when the ice-cream stall man would come on every hot and humid day.

Walking back to my home.

When to the playground i had to cross to go back to my home after school.
^^ Overcame The Wall

Photobucket

that i couldn't when i was still in primary school

Evidence that i did!
Photobucket

Hehe, but i got some scraps at my elbow.

Total time spent: 20 min.

It had been 3 years since i last really walked the path that i did when i was a primary student. It was ... nice. :)

What 14 April meant to me

It's the day when the seniors stepped down and of course my brother's birthday

After some presentations done by us, we celebrated!

 Ca-ki ca-ki ca-ki !!

But first, we had a small video done by ___ to show the times we spent in the workshops Life Science managed to get for us. Soap making! Cream formulation! and also the pictures of the BioTech Fair that Billy, Fatimah, Suzin, Qing Ling and me attended. :D

Ahh, what memories.

Then Mrs Tan gave us seniors vitamin A so as to not get sick easily. But on closer inspection, it looks similar to sweets... Hmm.

Then the arrival of cake!! from Swensens. XD

Then the ceremonial cutting of the cake. And the usual gorging on it.

Then group photos!  Photos go HERE (on facebook)

Some wishes from Ms Tay, Mrs Tan and Mr Chow =)

Though Ms Tay said that the members of the BioTech Fair
were always willing to stay back for the compeition,
and had once stayed till 8pm,
I might (maybe) have grumbled alot.
 *cringe*
So sorry for that.

We have, I have, been in this club for 4 years now. Time sure does fly fast, doesn't it. Well, at least there wasn't (much) things that i have regreted doing in Life Science. It was fun, during my sec 3 and 4 years ^__^

So, i shall end off.

But not before .....

getting a last photo shoot with the rest of LSS members and teachers!

Goodbye LSS.
It was fun knowing you
though it might have started late.
Still, i have some wonderful memories of you,
 and hope you did too.

Farewell.

Sailor Moon

Hey, viewers! It's me again and it's FRIDAYYYYY!!!! Yipee!

A year ago, youtube was just a web that people, excluding myself, go to see free videos. I didn't really like to go youtube. I don't know the reason why.

But this year, i have been going onto Youtube more often. And i saw

Man, i reeally love the opening song. I liked this part of Sailor Moon (no, i'm not a child) cause the voice actors and actresses are better than the previous batch (my opinion). The anime is slighty better too.

I still remember the first time i saw this. It was on Tv 1, the Malaysian channel. I used to stand on my parents' bed and watch it. Doing the actions that Sailor moon did. I even had the cresent wand, the one that when pressed, lights will flash out. Then there was also a space to place a ring (Sailor Moon's one, i think) on it and music would flow out. I think i still have it... In one of my many containers.

Anyway, if you want to see the WHOLE of Sailor Moon, just go Youtube.com and type " sailor moon sailor stars "

BTW, just saw this on youtube also,

The title is Sora o Miageru Shōjo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai. Very interesting. Tell me if you can see the whole episodes of this anime cause i can't find it anywhere! Help!!

:D Hope you enjoy watching it!
